BitFenix Colossus Enthusiast Gaming Full Tower Case Review Print E-mail

BitFenix Colossus Enthusiast Gaming Full Tower Case ReviewPCWizKid has the first opportunity here in North America to review the BitFenix Colossus Full Tower Case.  BitFenix is new to the scene and debuts its first chassis.  BitFenix describes the Colossus as follows: "Designed for the PC enthusiast, Colossus keeps you in complete control. Aside from the light controls, Colossus also features a PWM fan controller that grants users more precise control over their fan speeds without the need for proprietary fans. Colossus is the first chassis to feature both internal and external cable management. Users can keep cables from cluttering the inside of the chassis with Colossus' strategically-placed cable holes, and prevent cables from getting caught in ejecting optical drives with the unique cable-routing front bezel. Even Colossus' front door can be easily switched to open to the left or to the right, depending on user preference."

The BitFenix Colossus is a full-tower case for gamers and PC enthusiasts, BitFenix aims to please on design and promises unmatched expandability, security, and cooling all wrapped up in a modern and elegant body. The Colossus is available in two versions, a all-black version and a all-white exterior and interior.

PCWizKid takes a closer look at the innovation, design and features of the Colossus in a video review.

Conclusion - Product score 9/10

As mentioned in PCWizKid's video review BitFenix has made a great impression with its debut of the Colossus.   Despite being heavy, there is much inside to talk about.  From tool-less design to having a locked storage area, there are many benefits found in the Colossus which make this an ideal enthusiast case.  However for a high-end case I was surprised not to see a rear exhaust fan included since they are usually inexpensive.  The cable management is excellent, the capacity to install and expand ensures your investment lasts into the future without issue.  Although the side panels have no fans, the LED's that basically wrap the outer shell of the case are unique and work well.  The ability to tune your fans down for silence or cooling and select your desired lighting color (Red or Blue) or turn them off completely is a feature PCWizKid liked as well.  If you're looking for a high-end, full-tower case the Colossus has a unique, distinctive design that distinguishes it from the competition, it's very quiet and it has the LED light system for those who want it.  The price tag is estimated at 159.90EUR ($169), however e-tailers can sell for less and hopefully soon will be available in the USA and Canada.  for details on where to buy visit http://www.bitfenix.com/global/en/about/wheretobuy/
