PCWizKid has an opportunity to take GlacialTech's latest CPU Cooler, the Igloo 5710 Plus Silent to the test. GlacialTech is known for their cooling products and this mainstream CPU Cooler adds to the lineup GlacialTech provides. Previously we reviewed the UFO 51 Gaming CPU Cooler from GlacialTech which has an innovative design and cooling for hardcore gamers looking to overclock their CPU. The Igloo 5710 Plus cooler is a mainstream CPU Cooler which comes in two flavours, the Silent and the PWM model. The difference between the two is essentiall the fan control that the PWM model has and the RPM of the Fan. The Silent model, is essentially just that, mode silent with a 19dBM 1300RPM fan.
At first looks the Igloo 5710 Plus cooler has a standard design that is simple and straight forward. Seen in many other brands and in the GlacialTech lineup, this design consists of a Fan, Aluminium heatsink and copper pipes.

Conclusion
All round, this is a great mainstream CPU Cooler that handles well both the dual and quad core CPU's we tested keeping temperatures at or below 40C Celsius. Though a second fan would have really made a difference the single fan combo for the price point of about $25 USD is pretty good if your building a budget PC and are not looking to spend a lot on your mainstream CPU but want better than stock cooling. PCWizKid gives this a recommended editors choice for mainstream CPU cooling.
