Axle3D Geforce GT 240 - Video Card Review Print E-mail

PCWizKid has been asked by many to make more reviews on mainstream video cards such as the one we have today.  The Geforce GT 240 512MB DDR5 from Axle3D.  The nVidia GT 240 was released end of last year and is a value video card and next level up from a GT 220.  Still this is a low power consumption video card and is epected to run cooler while delivering better performance than a 9600 GSO.  The Axle3D GT 240 has support for Windows 7’s key features such as DirectCompute and drag and drop video conversion. and DirectX 10.1 so you will be able to enjoy the latest OS and games.  One thing this video card is not meant for is SLI setups since there is no connector for it, but then again this video card is meant to be used as a single mainstream card.

PCWizKid's appreciates Axle's use of the Article cooling solution to a regular fan.  Definitly you can see the difference in temperatures which were low.  Overclocking potential is great which increases the performance to that of a ATI HD4770 which was amazing.  Currently the US e-tailer, Fookbuy.com sells them.
