It's normalI agree with Dustin first post, it's an advanced video editor, it requires more resources. Unless you want to upgrade your PC to do more, let Sony Vegas do it's job

NelizMastr wrote:why do you want to do more on your comp when its rendering anyway? its ignorant and slows your system down so much. I'd recommend to just leave it to do its work, like Supra said.
otherwise: buy some cheap laptop that is capable of what you want to do while rendering, so you can use that XD
I mean, if I want to render a video, and then want to watch some other youtube stuff, I just turn on my laptop, and do that. My laptop has more than enough power for Office, and Webbrowsing tasks, and also flash videos on normal and high quality.

Got past 3.5 gigs when I was encoding something, it must be because most people with 4 Gigs of RAM or lesser have their system utilize the virtual RAM, leaving a little RAM left. My computer uses 18-25 percent RAM on start up without me doing anything, of the 8 Gigs it has. Used to be 20%+ when I had vista though.Xx1Dustin1xX wrote:Victimized wrote:For regular encoding programs (movie maker/ sony vegas) all you need is a decent CPU and at least 4 GB RAM, not 8. Movie maker doesn't really need 4 GB of RAM. Since its just basic! Sony Vegas, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, etc. Needs more RAM.
