Going to buy DDR2 for a new AM3 mobo? DDR3 dual channel is already mainstream so you're holding yourself back. Get some DDR3 1600 dual channel 2×2 Gigs of RAM.
This should do: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... -_-Product

If you want to take it to DDR2 you need to use an AMD 7×× chipset motherboard. It is best to save up a little more and purchase DDR3 1333 RAM, plus the 8×× chipset is faster and better optimized for DDR3. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813130275
